Fourth of July Wedding Theme

A Fourth of July wedding can be a fun, patriotic and beautiful way to celebrate your love! So if you're getting married in the summer months, consider a Fourth of July wedding theme for your big day!

Location
Preferably outdoors in the sunshine! Your ceremony and reception can take place under blue skies on green grass, with the warmth and freshness of summer adding a special spark to your wedding.

Invites
Invites can feature patriotic themes in shades like red, white and blue. Be sure to specify on the invitations if the wedding and reception are casual or formal. Utilize such symbolism as eagles, torches, stars and the like on your invitations if you desire.

Decor
Red, white and blue bunting and streamers can add a patriotic flair. Try red, white, and blue balloons and try stars and stripes patterned tablecloths and tableware

Flowers
Red, white and blue...of course! Your florist can make a stunning arrangement utilizing flowers like roses, baby's breath, gardenia and more in these shades.

Brides Attire
A white dress goes wonderfully with a Fourth of July wedding theme. However, if you want to kick things up a notch, wear gemstone jewelry in shades of blue or red, and of course bright red lipstick!

Grooms Attire
Grooms can wear red, white and blue flowers, patriotic flag-patterned ties, or even shirts in the three colors of the flag. You can also find cummerbunds in patriotic colors and patterns.

Catering
When catering your Fourth of July theme wedding, think backyard barbecue. Grilled foods are a great idea, such as chicken, steak, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and even seafood. Desserts can be red white and blue confections made with summer fruits such as berries and lots of whipped cream. Have vibrant red or blue punch.

Favors
Little flags are great party favors, as are traditional favors like bubbles and disposable cameras whose packaging is in a Fourth of July color or pattern.

Ideas
Have a fireworks display at your outdoors reception! Guests can sit on blankets on the grass and have food and drink while watching the fireworks. This is a great way to add a little spark to your Fourth of July wedding!
