8 Great Apps for Organising Weddings
Planning a wedding can be a strenuous and stressful occasion thanks to the seemingly never ending list of details, necessary attention to detail and need for things such as seating charts, decorations and invitations.
Luckily for brides and also grooms to be the advent of the smart phone has made things a lot easier and makes managing all of the aforementioned details a lot easier. We’ve compiled a check list of easy to use apps that make organising and planning your big day all the easier.
myPantone Wedding and Events
This app was created when wedding stylists, The Dessy Group teamed up with colour experts Pantone and allows brides to create style boards, coordinate colours and add and compare thousands of images against each other. It’s a great app if you’re looking for inspiration for the big day.
Wedding Budget
Weddings are glorious occasions, but that doesn’t mean that some care should be taken on the expenses and cost of the day. This app is free and provides all the tools you need to keep things within budget, keep an eye on expenses and allow you to see where the pounds, pennies, dollars and cents are spent.
iWedding Deluxe
Though there is also a free version of this app, this is by far the better version and it’s worth paying a little more for. The app provides everything from to-do lists, to budgeting tools, playlists for wedding bands like Northern Star or the DJ and seating plans. It’s a whole wedding plan in one app and one that’s very functional, well laid out and very attractive.
iBridal Gown
The wedding dress is the most important part of the day and for fashion obsessed brides this is the perfect app. The app offers you the ability to search for a wide range of styles and options, it includes a flipbook that allows you to compare your choices and it’s also easy to share via social media and other means, allowing you to pass the decision on to friends.
Seat Planner +
The seating plan is one of the biggest parts of creating the right atmosphere at the wedding and if arranged badly it can lead to all sorts of problems. From dull family conversation, to the other side of the equation – heated arguments – getting it right is all important. This app allows you to connect to your Facebook and other social media sites, import guests from there, add others from contacts and elsewhere and then create the plan. It also helps you take care of meal choices, table shapes, RSVPs and a range of other useful information.
Wedding Party
This app is fantastic and allows you to see the wedding through your guest’s photo albums. Guests simply download the app and then can share photos in a centralised album, while leaving messages below. You simply set it up and ask people to join via social media and then end up with a big album of the big day.
For inspiration, there are few things better than Pinterest. It’s ideal for deliberating over flower arrangements, colour schemes and anything else you can think of. You can share it with your friends and they can add input and if you’re using a planner or designer it’s a great way to provide them with an insight into what you want from your big day.
TripIt
Finally, the wedding is over and the honeymoon begins. The best way to organise it is to use Tripit. The app takes all your plans and compiles them into one place and a very useful itinerary – all you do is forward the emails to your account and it takes and creates your details.
Wedding apps can make the whole day a lot less stressful, are a lot of fun and also exciting to use. So, why not take a look at some of these fantastic options.
