We love weddings. In particular we love when celebrities get married. You can always expect an extravagant affair when celebrities say I do. Or, at the very least, a sizeable scandal before or after the ceremony. Okay, celeb marriages hardly ever last. But they’re still a lot of fun to watch and read about in the mags. We’ve been thinking about those who are newly engaged can learn anything from celebrity marriages. Surprisingly, we think there are quite a few lessons you might want to take on board.

Forget about the venue, the songs and even the ring. One of the most important parts of the wedding is the dress that the bride chooses. You can see this in celebrity weddings. It’s all anyone is talking about the day after. Did you see the dress she wore? It was absolutely stunning. I hear they had it professionally designed by Vera Wang! You get the idea. If celebrities have taught us anything about wedding it’s to choose the perfect dress for that special day.

Let’s be honest, all celebrities look fantastic on their wedding day. It doesn’t matter who’s getting married. Even Katie Price looked like a princess at one of her weddings. But, we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that some look better than others. What is it that makes them stand out more? Is it the dress, the jewelry? Perhaps it’s the person they’re getting married to. It’s a lot simpler than that. It’s the photographer. On your worst day, the right photographer can make you look like a dream. The Rings are always important. If they’re not talking about the dress she wore, they’re drooling over the size of the rock on her finger. But it’s not just about the engagement ring. We do think it’s quite romantic when you hear about celeb couples getting married in private. They take a journey away somewhere and come back newly hitched. Sometimes, that you don’t even know that the two were dating in the first place. We can see why they take this route too. They avoid the buzz and all the stress of planning a big wedding.

It isn’t always a bad thing. It can be quite fun to have the world be excited about your wedding day. Okay for the regular girl and boy, it’s not going to be the world. But you can certainly let your local community know. There’re lots of fun ways to do this, such as buying an ad in your paper. Or, setting up a website online. If you want some attention on your wedding day from strangers, this is the way we to do it. You can tell some celebs love this part of being famous. Others…not so much.
