Once the people who matter are notified, that’s when you post it on social media and the rest of the world gets to find out. Once you’ve announced, grab a pen and paper and make a list.

- Plan A Party. You’ve become engaged, which means that you need to throw a party for yourselves and celebrate in style. You can invite your nearest and dearest to this party and include your bridal party of choice, too. Some brides like to use their engagement party to ask their friends to be their bridesmaids, which is also a beautiful thing to do! You do have to make this decision at some stage, so you can use this as your announcement.
