How to Plan the Perfect Hen Weekend
So, you’re about to get married and you want to plan the perfect weekend getaway for you and a few of your close friends. But, how to do you go about it? There are all sorts of things to consider. Will everyone you want to join you be available? Can everyone afford to go where you choose? Most importantly, will everyone get on! In the following few words you’ll find some great advice on how you can answer some of these questions and more.
Who Will You Take?
This can be a bit of an issue, especially if you have a large circle of friends. Even choosing which members of your family to take might become a problem, but all is not lost. For instance, you may get on very well with your brothers and sisters, but they might not get on well with your friends. In which case make it a family event, that way you know there will be no sulking or worse still a huge row!
Where to Go
This is something that should be top of your list when planning the perfect weekend. Try to choose somewhere that isn’t too far from home. If you’re friends or family are spread apart, choose somewhere that’s central for everyone. Remember, the less time you spend travelling, the more time you will have to really enjoy yourself.
Keeping Everyone Happy
You might think this will be an impossibility, but you’re friends are friends because you have things in common so choosing a venue that will keep everyone happy shouldn’t be too much of a task. Once you’ve chosen where you’re going to stay, you can make use of the internet to find out how you can fill your time when you’re away. If everyone likes to relax and unwind, take a look at various spas that might be in the area. If you and your friends or family are party goers, take a look for clubs in the area. Anything goes really.
When to Go
This again, should be part of your planning process. It’s important you know everyone will be available on the weekend you choose to go away. You might also want to consider the time of year. If you like being outdoors, think about going on a weekend when it’s not going to pour with rain or blow a gale! Of course, if you plan on pampering yourself at say, a spa the weather won’t really have much to do with it.
Get your Weekend Booked
Once you’ve managed to decide who to take, where to go and how you’re going to keep everyone happy you must make sure you get your weekend away booked, especially if you’re going somewhere that’s popular at certain times of the year. Consider planning well in advance because this will help keep the price down (your friends and family will thank you for this).
If you follow some of the advice above, you will be able to arrange the perfect weekend away which will allow you some much needed relaxation time away from fussing Mums and Dads.
