Making a Hen Night Extra Special: What to Do
If you’re in charge of planning a hen night, you definitely want to make it extra special for the bride. Imagine the brownie points you’ll get once you’ve pulled it off! There are a few ways you can make it special for her. Here are some suggestions to start you off:
Have All of Her Favourite People There
All of the hen’s favourite people should be present for this night to be extra special. Whether there’s only 5 of you or 50 of you, try to make it so that everybody can attend. Whether you have to change the date, activity, or something else to work everybody in, do it and she’ll appreciate that everybody she loves has made it.
Make Sure it Suits Her
There’s nothing worse than making a quiet, reserved hen carry around a blow up doll all night. She’ll hate it and she’ll hate the attention! You don’t have to go the same way as regular hen parties, with crude props and L plates. Just make sure it suits her and she’ll have a great time. You might not even want to include alcohol, depending on her preferences. Then again, she might really want to let her hair down for this occasion. You know her best! It could turn out like the time Monica and Rachel threw a tea party for Phoebe, but Phoebe was expecting a stripper.
Create Wristbands
Create wristbands for everybody – you know, like those festival bands you wear when you go to a gig for the weekend! Not everybody will enjoy wearing a sash. I know that if I had dressed up really nice ready for a big night out, I wouldn’t want to put on a garish sash and cover it all up. This is where the wristbands come in! You should still get freebies, you just don’t look as ridiculous. It’s an all round winning idea!
Set Up Special Transport
Why not make this night start off with a bang by arranging special transport? You could go for a limo, a hummer, or a vintage car. Whatever the bride to be is into! Get it to take you on a tour around the city while you all have a drink, or go straight to your destination. This will set the tone for the night!
Personalise T-shirts
If you’re going away for the weekend, why not personalise some t-shirts? It’s always a lot of fun wearing this like this on a hen weekend. You’ll get some funny looks, but that’s what it’s all about!
Do a Couple of Different Things
Don’t just have a standard hens night out. Arrange a couple of things for the hen to enjoy! Make this time one to remember.
Take Lots of Pictures
Take plenty of pictures so you can all look back the next day and reminisce. You can also put an album on FB so that people can see what a great time you had – just remember, not everything belongs on the internet!
Use these tips to make sure the bride to be has an extra special time. Try not to get too drunk either – you need to make sure she’s having a good time!
